Last year was the first time LG brought AirPlay 2 and HomeKit support to its OLED (all 2019 models), NanoCell (SM9 and 8 series) and UHD TVs (UM 7 and 6 series). This trend will continue in 2020 for models such as the NanoCell Nano 9 and 8 series, UHD UN 8 series, UHD UN 71 and above series, as well as all 2020 OLED TVs.
Of course, what many LG TV owners want is for the company to bring AirPlay 2 and HomeKit to its 2018 and earlier models. Apparently, LG has relented and is now planning to bring these features to select 2018 TVs (via MacRumors).
