Nikon adds to its Z-mount lens lineup with the new 24-70mm f/2.8 S

The 24-70mm focal range has always been a popular one for photographers, as a single lens with this focal range can cover a wide variety of situations. No surprise then, that Nikon’s next Z-mount lens would be the NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S lens. This brings photographers on Nikon’s new Z-mount cameras a lightweight and durable lens with a constant wide maximum aperture.

The NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S gets an anti-reflective coating system featuring a new ARNEO Coat, which is supposed to give ultra-low reflectance of incident light. This means largely reduced ghosting and flaring even when the light source is in frame. Compared to AF-S Nikkor 24-70mm, the NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S is shorter (126mm length compared to 154.5mm) and lighter (805g compared to 1070g).
