If you could leave just one Möwe product in a time capsule for SG100, which would it be and why?
I’d pick our Smart Hob with safety sensors. It’s something many Singaporeans use daily, and we’ve made it safer, smarter, and more intuitive. It reflects how far we’ve come since the kopi-and-toast kitchen days. For SG100, it’s our way of showing how a simple appliance evolved to meet the needs of a future-ready home.
You started as Aerogaz in 2003. What do you remember most about the Singapore home back then, and what’s changed?
Homes in 2003 were humble and practical, HDB flats with stand-alone appliances and not much automation. Back then, a cooker hob was just a cooker hob. Today, we have voice control, energy-saving modes, and sleek designs to match modern BTOs. Singapore homes have grown smarter, just like the nation itself.
When you imagine the Singapore home of 2085—fully smart, seamless, and sustainable, what role do you hope Möwe plays?
By 2085, I see Möwe as an essential part of everyday living in Singapore homes, from compact HDBs to larger family units. We want to be the quiet enabler behind it all - automating routines, saving energy, and keeping homes safe. Whether it's lights that adjust to your habits or appliances that prevent accidents before they happen, Möwe’s role is to make life smoother, greener, and more secure, so users don’t need to overthink it.
In the story of Singapore at 60 and beyond, what legacy do you hope Möwe leaves inside the home?
We hope to be remembered as the brand that helped bring smart living into the everyday Singapore home. Not just flashy tech, but real, practical improvements: safer kitchens, more energy-efficient appliances, and smart features that give peace of mind. Just like Singapore grew more connected and advanced, we want Möwe to be part of that story, quietly improving comfort, convenience, and care at home.
Singaporeans love convenience but also reliability. How does Möwe balance both in designing smart appliances?
We believe convenience and reliability must go hand in hand. Especially in a Singapore home where every feature needs to work hard and work well. That’s why our smart appliances are designed to be intuitive and user-friendly, but also built with safety, energy-saving, and long-term durability in mind. Whether it’s a motion-sensing fan, a smart hob with auto shut-off, or an app that alerts you to issues before they happen. We are always thinking ahead to make sure our products don’t just add convenience, but deliver real peace of mind, every day.
